A great teacher is never finished learning.

Some teachers want new ways to help their students overcome common singing challenges. Some want a deep understanding of the science of singing. And some want new tools to help students with voice disorders.

OVS techniques are based on Obert's credentials as a certified speech language pathologist, a singing teacher with over 25 years of experience, and a voice scientist who pushes the boundaries of what is generally known about the voice.  Grounded in first-hand knowledge and renowned expertise, OVS offers several ways to plug the gaps in your skillset and get the results you want with your students.

Private Mentoring

Voice teachers who want to advance their skills may sign up for 25-minute or 55-minute private mentoring sessions. The initial visit begins with a thorough assessment of the teacher’s past training and experiences to identify strengths and areas of needed growth which in turn lead to the development of targeted goals for each session. The assessment includes a review and analysis of at least one recording of themselves which the teacher provides, if desired.

Short Courses

Voice teachers and voice-related organizations often enjoy hosting online short courses for their clients. Short-course hosts can distribute the cost of these events among students and build in a fee to cover time spent in administration and promotion of the event. Short courses are available in 60-minute or 90-minute sessions, or 120-minute sessions that include more time for practice and questions.

Kerrie Obert is available to teach extended courses that cover her entire pedagogical approach. Workshops are immersive experiences for advanced performers and teachers over five days of training.
